Is there something you want to change or improve about your life? Hypnosis can help you to do the changing or improvement that you want to do in your life. You do have to be receptive and responsive to the new suggestions, and to let these suggestions act upon you without interference. Hypnosis can not control your mind (ever). You have to be willing and want to make these changes. Your subconscious is not able to reason, and it does act on any fact or suggestion that the conscious mind gives it. Hypnosis is a process which gives relaxation, while distracting the conscious mind, and opens the way for suggestibility and increased awareness, and in this way allows the subconscious mind to be receptive to the new suggestions. You will not do anything that you would not do ordinarily. We had one subject that was a very willing patient and she loved being hypnotized. We asked her one day if she would like to be regressed to the past and she said yes. We then got her hypnotized and asked her to go back to when she was 30 years old and she did with no hesitancy. We then asked her to go back to 16 years old, and she immediatley came out of her relaxed hypnotic state, and said she could not do this. She did not want to go there and she awoke immediately.
